Since January 2020,  work has steadily continued to turn this idea into an actual working product. The project has seen input from many including chemical and mechanical engineers, chemists, product developers, patent and licensing lawyers. Being a nurse and a midwife myself came with the added bonus of having some fairly smart clinicians around me who are mothers themselves. I have reached out to these people, as well as members of other parenting groups. I kindly requested their expert opinion (ideas, comments, suggestion and criticism) during the early development phases given they were my target audience since this adventure began, and have adapted the product accordingly.

Research, bench testing and conceptual design have all reached completion. The current phase for my (brilliant and ever patient) product developer is engineering, which is being conducted in partnership with the University of Queensland. The next phase commencing December 2023 will see the production of a working prototype, and the concept obtain an International Patent.
